GFD teams up with Glastonbury Partners in Planting in Firehouse Landscaping Improvements

September, 2011: Members of Glastonbury Fire Department Companies 3 and 4 teamed up with Glastonbury Parks and Recreation and the Glastonbury Partners in Planing (GPIP) to clean up and replant severals areas at the stations of Companies 3 and 4. 


Hopewell Road Fire
January 16, 2012 On Monday, January 16, 2012 @ 20:26 the Glastonbury Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a possible fire in the basement on Hopewell Road.  Upon arrival, companies found fire on and within the exterior side wall of the apartment house.  The fire extended up the ouside wall to the roof of the building.  Companies opened up the wall and extnguished the fire.  The Glastonbury Fire Marshal's office is investigating.

Hartford Hospital Fire: 50th Anniversary
As you may recall Dec. 8, 2011, Hartford Hospital remembered one of its darkest days: the 50th anniversary of the tragic fire of 1961.  A documentary on "The Hartford Hospital Fire: Inferno on the 9th Floor," will premier on CPTV at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan.26, with an encore at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29.
